Food is the most essential thing we need to survive on this planet and it is incredible how in ‘some way’ we have been jeopardized and controlled for many years by the very definition of what food is … possibly for centuries ... Naturally, we hope that food is something that will nourish and sustain our life force. With the advent of urban and industrial living, more technology, machines and pollution.
I ask you to rethink if what you will or ate this morning will really help to get you through today? Or could it be possible that a green concoction picked from wild leaves with fresh spring water from your neighboring forest (if you are even nearby one that is) might actually give you the nutrients to help sustain you more while you live in the fast paced world?
We can also ask many questions along these lines, especially how funny it is in relationship to art – again the question that arises time and time again - what is art? Well, however ‘we’ or ‘art history’ has and will define it, importantly I would say art is the very breath of creation and creation a very important part of life, without it we wouldn’t really have life ...
What is our life if not connected to understanding nature and the ‘real food’ & ‘reality’ it supplies. Everything is seemingly connected even in a world that may seem to feel more disconnected at times. I leave you with a photograph I took in Romainmôtier, Switzerland of their water source for you to visually drink from and from here we can continue the thought.
